The use of susceptibility matched microtubes facilitates the NMR characterization of low concentrated protein samples. A Shigemi microtube assembly consists of an outter tube and an insert. Both components are susceptibility-matched with a specific solvent, allowing substantial improvement of NMR spectra resolution when a limited amount of sample is available. Glass walls of Shigemi Advanced microtubes are 0.20 mm in the sample area, which is thinner than classic Shigemi microtubes by 50%. This features allows for the use of larger sample volumes and an average SNR increase of 16%.
